Janette Wall is a functional ceramic artist in North Charleston, South Carolina. She is inspired by early historic pottery found in the area, referred to as Carolina Creamware. Her body of work depicts scenes of the Lowcountry in blue and white and most recently she has done an exclusive collection for Drayton Hall featuring the house, the portico & the majestic live oaks on the property. Each piece is hand made and hand painted, one of a kind. Due to the nature of handmade items, each one is different, but this is what makes it so special.
We highly recommend if possible, coming into The Shop at Drayton Hall to select your piece but know that is not possible for those that live further away. Drayton Hall's main house and landscape are open to the public weekly Wednesday through Monday from 9 am to 5:00 pm (gate closes at 3:30 pm). CLOSED on Tuesdays. The gate will accept no cash transactions.
