Own a piece of Charleston’s history. This handcrafted live oak table is made from the historic Garden House Live Oak at Drayton Hall, one of Charleston’s most iconic landmarks. Each table is one-of-a-kind, showcasing the natural beauty and heritage of this centuries-old tree.
Created by Charleston artist Hannah Robinson, this piece was crafted from a large branch of the original garden oak. The artist preserved the natural character of the wood—filling organic voids with clear resin to highlight the live oak’s grain, form, and color.
The bowed shape of the live oak branch tells a story of craftsmanship: historically, shipbuilders favored live oak for its natural curves and incredible strength, using it to create the resilient frames of early wooden ships. That same durability and beauty live on in this heirloom-quality table.
