Join Amber as she shares her research of Charles’s diaries (1784-1820) and what kinds of information she collected from his writings. Charles mentioned more than 190 enslaved people in his diaries and recorded all kinds of information about them from his point of view. You’ll learn about individuals, families, and the many jobs—some highly skilled—that were being performed by enslaved people across Charles Drayton’s properties.Â
