Nipper of Drayton Hall is the just-about-true story of real-life characters who loved a grand old house and the the natural beauty of its surroundings on the Ashley River in Charleston, South Carolina. Join Nipper and his beloved Charlotta Drayton as they travel to historic Drayton Hall and spend a day in the springtime of 1916. The story by Amey Lewis and watercolor illustrations by Gerry McElroy give readers of all ages an engaging look into Drayton Hall, the oldest example of Georgian-Palladian architecture in the United States, preserved  in near original 18th-century condition and operated by the Drayton Hall Preservation Trust.
